Building Fund Campaign
In January 2011 we sold the building at 265 Eddystone Avenue but we are still sold out to stay in the Jane-Finch area.
Our building fund campaign continues as we plan to own another building in this area for the following reasons.
-
Occupying this location re-establishes a clear visible presence in the community;
-
The building provides a base for Sunday worship, weekday ministries and services – including developing new outreach initiatives, especially aimed at boys and men.
-
Ownership signals our commitment to be a permanent force in the Jane-Finch community.
Fundraising Goal
Our building fund campaign has received a major boost with a matching grant of $200,000 for every dollar raised from GMP Securities. Members of the church are making monthly contributions and we are getting donations from individual supporters from outside the church. There are fundraising events being planned including the annual Good Saturday Breakfast April 23, 2011. In addition members and groups are being challenged and encouraged to find creative ways to raise funds.
In the previous building fund campaign we were encouraged by support received money from the Jackman Foundation and the F.K. Morrow Foundation.
Appreciation
We are grateful to each one who becomes a financial partner. We will seek to be responsible stewards of your financial investment. Your contribution will enable us to help see lives changed and the community of Jane-Finch transformed.
