Our Beliefs

Scripture: We believe the Holy Bible is fully and uniquely the inspired Word of God and is the only sufficient and authoritative rule of faith and practice.

The Trinity: We believe in One God eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

God the Father: We believe He is the Creator and sustainer of all things.

God the Son: We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Virgin Birth, His sinless life, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His return in power and glory.  He is the only Savior of the world.

God the Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person, equal with the Father and the Son.  The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgement. In believers He acts to seal, indwell, fill, guide, teach and empower them to do God’s will.

Salvation: We believe in the salvation of lost and sinful people through regeneration by the Holy Spirit.  Salvation is by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ.

The Church: We believe Christ Jesus is the head of the Church.  We believe the Church to be a voluntary organization of believers and its mission is to meet regularly, to worship God, fellowship with one another, observe the ordinances of the New Testament, and spread the gospel.

The Eternal State: We believe in the resurrection of the saved to eternal life, and the lost to eternal damnation.

Ordinances: a) Water Baptism - We believe in believer’s baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  b) Lord’s Supper - We believe that the Lord’s Supper is the commemoration of His death until He comes and should be preceded always by solemn self-examination.

Satan: We believe in the personal existence of Satan, whose intent is to supplant God and frustrate His purpose, and whose ultimate end is eternal punishment.

Lord’s Day: We believe and choose, in accordance with God’s Sabbath principles, to worship on the first day of the week and consecrate it as the Lord’s day.

Mission: We believe that it is the responsibility of all believers to do their part to win the lost, and to spread the gospel of Christ in all the world.
